Road Trip Day 4: Nantalla National Forest & Hidden Waterfall

We spent most of day 4 driving. It was a stunning drive. We tried our best to find a place to camp and had a really hard time doing so. Despite being on the map in all the places that said 'Nantalla National Forest', nobody seemed to think there was any camping anywhere near here. We ended up driving up this terrifying, one lane, gravel road up the side of a mountain. If we were to crash and roll down the mountain, nobody would have found us. Ever. So that was terrifying. Once we made it half way up we decided-- no, this can't be right and headed back down. We finally found a camping site as the sun was setting and parked our car. We ate our food, walked around and explored and then did some reading. We spelt in the car again this night and it was raining so I kept waking up in the middle of the night and I would look outside the car looking for something moving in these woods. Then I decided, no. No I don't want to see the ax murder in the woods, I'd rather die in ignorance. And then I slept peacefully the rest of the night.

Our trusty steed and hotel

We were going to hike around where we slept but it was raining in the morning and we were sort of tired so we decided to just drive to our next destination, a hidden waterfall. We started on our drive and this was by far the best drive. We drove through mountains and there was water and fog and it was unreal. Go east TN!

We stopped occasionally to take photos.

Only taken because it's my brother's name.

Our main source of food.

The waterfall was beautiful, totally worth the hike and the rain. Winifred helped me with my lenses the entire time and we both fell on our asses... twice. It was successful. We headed to our last destination that night, my step mother's house for a decent nights rest and then onto TRAINS.
