Road Trip Day 1: Savannah, GA

Well! I am finally getting around to posting these photos. I really want to post them in order if I can (but that may not happen). In less than a week I'm going on a whole new adventure so I'm hoping to get these images edited and up before then. Though it probably won't happen haha. Oh well! I'm trying!

For spring break this year, a lot of my plans ended up falling through. My roommate and I had no plans and decided to take a road trip. We planned it Thursday, we left Saturday morning. It was the definition of spontaneous. It was also a test, as the two of us are planning on traveling through Europe at the end of our internships this summer. The test was to find out if we would get annoyed with each other, get frustrated or freak out under the stress of not having plans or getting lost. WE PASSED. We never got annoyed and we never cared about the time it took to travel or where to go when we got lost. It was so much fun, so here is the information from day one!

It started out smooth, we got up and packed and fit everything in the car. We had great music but before long a bee had thwarted our plans. He was somehow in the car and it resulted in us pulling over and Wendy telling me to just get out because lets be honest, I'm not good with bugs. She saved the day, killed the bee and then we got back on the road. Our first stop was Savannah, and we planned on just sleeping in the car most days. It happened to work out that I had a friend who lived in Savannah so I called her up and she agreed to let us crash on her floor!

Once sleeping arrangements were figured out, we explored Savannah thanks to some suggestions from my friend. We started at River St, which was my favorite. It was beautiful and lively and it was only seven at night and everyone was wasted because it was the week before Saint Patricks day (all the signs said: Saint Practice Day). That was enjoyable.

Wendy was the absolute best. She let me take photos and waited patiently and let me take photos of her  :D

We ended up just wandering the city at night, it was beautiful. The spanish moss was lovely and the lights from the city. I watched a violinist play in the park (he was very rude, but talented) and I ran into someone from my design classes which was really strange but really cool. We finally decided to end the night and go to my friends, but then we went out to Tybee Island instead. The stars were stunning.
Honestly, it was a great first day on our trip.
