A Neverland Tale

First off I want to thank everyone who helped me make this happen, which include all of the lovely subjects you see here and their amazing parents. This was all planned in one week and thrown together so incredibly fast but so awesomely. The parents were so happy to help and the kids were eager to be there. It really was a magical morning.

This was my first photoshoot I've done for school. In my Design II class, our last project was to design a book. But we weren't only to design it, we had to write the content and procure the images. I ended up writing a short story taking place in Neverland after Peter Pan. This current Neverland takes kids of all ages and genders and they've all banned together into lots of small groups. My story focuses around the lost boys, who are crafty and clever with nimble hands and the lost girls who are fierce and ferocious and like to battle. They start out living just across the river from one another, but they don't get a long. Through a series of challenges and tribulations, the two groups decide it's more fun to be together and they form one group.

Outtakes

I absolutely adore this photo, but I had no use for it in my book.

The images tell the story I wrote, but if you would like more details or to see the book designed, you can check it out here: http://issuu.com/avenley/docs/finished_book

Anyway, thanks again to everyone who helped. I had a blast doing this shoot. I hope you all enjoyed the outcome!
