Road Trip Day 2: Savannah GA, Edisto Beach & Charleston NC

Day two of our trip started out pretty late, we slept until almost eleven which really was nine to our bodies. (We were an hour ahead AND daylight savings time happened). We then searched for coffee and checked out Jones St. Jones Street was a suggestion from my lovely friend who let us crash at her place, she said it was straight out of a story book. It so was. If I ever move to Savannah, I'm living on Jones Street.

Unfortunately there was no 221 B. We searched, it was hidden between two houses. Wendy and I figured it was probably like 12 Grimmauld Place.

I have a thing for old signs.
But I mean, seriously. LOOK AT THOSE TREES.
Super awesome navigator of this trip.
I actually hunted for this sign because I saw it when we drove in. I love it.

This is where we stopped our car to make peanut butter sandwiches. It was magical. SO DANG PRETTY

Our next stop was Edisto Beach. We were looking for a fallen tree, but we never found it. Instead we took really dumb photos of each other and ran around chasing birds.

Then we made it to Charleston. Which at first was odd. We had heard great things about it, but when we go there it was quiet and eerie. We felt like we were in the horror movie, The Purge. We enjoyed walking around though, we hopped on a bus and got off at an interesting stop. We would just find our way back home later. However eerie it was the first night, I got some great pictures at the peer. I really love those.
Alright, so the architecture was pretty dang cool.
I really enjoyed the birds.

One of my favorite shots

The city was really beautiful, and we decided the next day to give it another shot and we were glad we did. I'll post more about it, but it was no longer quiet and eerie but felt like a city. We ended up going to this movie/dinner place after the sun went down. It was awesome, we had a few drinks and played pool and then went into the movies and ordered dinner that was served to us while the movie was on. It was a super cool place, I'm jealous we don't have one in my college town. This marked our first night sleeping in the car, we parked at a truck stop and brushed our teeth out of a water bottle, made a pallet of blankets in the back of the car and somehow slept.
I couldn't stretch out, and I curled up so tight in a ball Wendy was pretty concerned that half of me had vanished. My back hurt the next morning, but it was totally worth it.
